Mu'awiah's
hate for Ali
Article
By: Raees Mustafa
Introduction
Assalmu Alaykum
My aim isn't to
disrespect others' religion, and expose them, only without a
disgusting approach and a filthy method. It's commonly known that
really, we shouldn't even disrespect someone's false God, as he may
in return disrespect our true God. And in this same case, I start
with unity and peace, to be invited into a debate, and see who's on
the true path, and who's on the false.
The article
looks to cover the deep consideration of the huge misconception of
Mu'awiah, being a great personality, and also signifies the proof, of
how Mu'awiah, cursed Imam Ali (as), at various points of his life, we
examine how Saa'ad bn Abi Waqqas was said to curse, but refused, and
replied in a manner of anger, to indicate his bond of love for Ali,
in such a sense, that he (Ali) doesn't deserve to be cursed! At
all...
I hope you like
the article, it's taken me 'some' time to write it, and I also hope
the time waited is worth the read. Beneficiary only begins with the
name of Almighty Allah... Without further a do, let's read;

Some
chapters coming ahead;
1
– References about the incident of 'curse'
2
– Ibn Taymiyyah's mentioning
3
– Validity and authenticity of narrations
4
– Mu'awiah and the Banu Ummayah are Nawasib
5
– Defining a Nawasib
6
– Concluding most of the article
References
about the incident of 'curse'
Saheeh Sunan Al-Nasa'i – Investigated
by AlBani Vol. 2, p 343, Hadith No. 3006, it states:
“It's a narration from Sa'eed Ibn
Jubair, who said: I was with Ibn Abbas at Arafa't, when he said: Why
don't I hear people reciting Talbiyyah? I replied: Because of the
fear of Mu'awiah...
Sa'eed has replied to Ibn Abbas, that
people aren't reciting the Talbiyyah, because of Mu'awiah, his
position and his punishment.
The narration from Sa'eed further
continues;
“...Ibn Abbas got out of his tent and
cried: Labyak – Allah Hum-Ma Labayk, Labyak – Allah Hum-Ma
Labayk, they have left the Sunnah in the hatred of Ali”
Amazing, it's the Sunnah, as a Saheeh
mentioned person reports, that reciting the Talbiyyah is Sunnah, but
because of the fact that Ali done this Sunnah, Mu'awiah ordered not
to go along with it! What hate from Mu'awiah, to Ali, just because he
(Ali) fulfilled the Sunnah of the Prophet, Mu'awiah bans people from
reciting something what Ali did, as Sunnah. Ali done it so we have to
leave it!
The second narration is found in
Al-Ta'leeqat Al-Salafiyyah Alaa Sunan Al-Nasa'i, authored by Abi
Tayyib Al-Fujyaani, authenticated and commented on by Ahmed Shaghib
and Ahmed Mujtaba Al-Salafi – The book is famous in the Salafi
Library of Pakistan, Vol. 3, p 466, the book states:
“It's a narration from Sa'eed ibn
Jubair, who said: I was with Ibn Abbas at Arafa't, when he (Ibn
Abbas) said: Why don't Ihear people reciting the Talbiyyah? I
replied: Due to the fear of Mu'awiah...
Another book, another famous book, with
a famous author, from the famous Sunni sect says clearly the first
part of the narration from Sa'eed Ibn Jubair, that because of
Mu'awiah, we aren't reciting the Talbiyyah, as Ali did this, and if
Ali did this, we don't want a Sunnah of such type performed in our
practises, which Ali did too! Amazing, this is what so far, 2
references, have said, but let's be clarified and see what the whole
narration says from Sa'eed Ibn Jubair located in Al-Ta'leeqat
Al-Salafiyyah;
“...Ibn Abbas after hearing went out
of the tent, and said: Labyak – Allah Hum-Ma Labayk, Labyak –
Allah Hum-Ma Labayk, They have left the Sunnah in the hatred of Ali!”
The footnote is a mirror reflection of
the narration given in Sunan Al-Nasa'i, it says the hadith has all
the main aspects correct and Saheeh – Authentic!
So it's authentic, that just because
Ali performed the Talbiyyah, Mu'awiah orders his people not to recite
it too...
The third evidence is recorded by Imam
Abi Bakr Ahmed Ibn Al-Hussain Ibn Ali Al-Bayhaqqi, in his famed book
Sunan Al-Kubra (458. AH). Organised and commented by Islam Mansoor
Abdul Hameed, Al-Hadith institution. This particular book published
from Al-Hadith institution was printed in 1429. AH. In Vol. 5, p 274,
Hadith No. 9447, it is written:
“Abul Hassan Muhammed Ibn Al-Hussein
and Maisara were informed by the wordings of Sa'eed Ibn Jubair who
said: I was with Ibn Abbas at the day or Arafa't, Ibn Abbas then
said: Why don't I hear people reciting the Talbiyyah? I answered: due
to the fear of Mu'awiah.
Ibn Abbas after hearing this exited the
tent, and said: Labyak – Allah Hum-Ma Labayk, Labyak – Allah
Hum-Ma Labayk against the will of Mu'awiah, O Allah curse these
people, who have left the Sunnah in the hatred of Ali!”
This narration contains other people
narrating it from others, but all of them turn out to be reliable,
thiqah, as the book states. Though from our produced references,
these are huge Sunni books, and Sunan Al-Nasa'i as mentioned, an even
greater book, recognises this event, this narration primarily from
Sa'eed Ibn Jubair as Saheeh – authentic!
Wow, what a companion of Prophet
(saws), remind me of what Prophet (saws) said about Ali's Bughz
(hate)? Prophet Muhamed (saws) said an ahadith, located in Sahih
Muslim, Mostadrak Al-Hakim, Tareekh-e-Tabri and many other Shia and
Sunni books. Molla Ali Qari has authenticated this hadith in his book
called Sharha Fiqh Akbar respectively. Hadith:
So after examining the event from the
holy verses of Rasool-ul-Allah, do we not witness the signs of
infidelity in Mu'awiah's Eiman? And if Shia's are called Kafir, then
so should be the Nawasib, and Mu'awiah's Shias, whom embrace their
religion upon the pillars of love for Mu'awiah, and hate for Ali!
Where is the logic? Where
is the Sunnah? Where is
the true Din – Religion?
In Vol. 4 of the book
Saheeh Muslim, investigated by Shaikh Muslim ibn Mahmood Uthmaan
Al-Salafi al-Athari. Publsihed from Al-Khair Institution, states on p
213:
The narration is fairly
long - “From Amir bin Saa'ad Abi Waqqas, related from his father,
who said: Mu'awiah ibn Abi Sufyan ordered Saa'ad to curse Imam Ali
(as). On behalf Saa'ad rejected, and Mu'awiah asked: What stops you
fro cursing Ali? Saa'ad replied: It's
because of 3 things which Prophet Muhammed (saws) said about him
which prevent me from cursing Ali Ibn Abi Talib (as), and even if I
had 1 of these 3 things appointed upon me, in my command and
possession, it would've been more dearer than having a red camel. I
heard Prophet Muhammed (saws) say when Ali was left behind in a
campaign with women and children: Aren't
you satisfied O Ali that your relation to me is of Harun (as) to
Moosa? Except that there is no Prophet after me.
And also heard the Prophet (saws) say on the day of Khaybar: I
will give the Standard Banner to the one who loves Allah and his
Messenger and they (Allah and Messenger) love him too!
Though everyone else was anxiously waiting to get the banner, when
Prophet (saws) called Ali! Ali was called, his eyes were inflamed.
Prophet (saws) then applied some of his saliva upon his eyes, and
handed the Standard banner to him, and Allah soon gave hi victory.
When this verse was revealed;

Then whoever disputes with you concerning him
['Iesa (Jesus)] after (all this) knowledge that has come to you,
[i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus)] being a slave of Allah, and having no share

sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and
yourselves - then we pray and invoke (sincerely) the Curse of
Allah upon those who lie." |

Whoever then disputes with thee in this matter
after the knowledge that has come to thee, say: Come! Let us call

curse of ALLAH on those who lie. |

If any one disputes in this matter with thee, now after (full) knowledge Hath come to thee, say: "Come! let us gather together,- our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: Then let us earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!" |
Allah's messenger called Ali,
Fatima, Hassan and Hussain. And the Prophet proclaimed: O
Allah, these are my AhlulBayt!”
Now let us simplify the narration in
steps to just exactly see what is the discussion going on between
these 2 men, Saa'ad and Mu'awiah. These steps may help you to witness
what's happening:
- Mu'awiah and Saa'ad are having a discussion.
- Mu'awiah orders Saa'ad to curse Imam Ali (as).
- However Saa'ad rejects the blasphemous order from Mu'awiah.
- Mu'awiah asks him why he doesn't curse and swear upon Ali?
- To that Saa'ad replies the words which have been coloured, these contain mostly ahadith and events related to Ali's magnificence, and then at the end, Saa'ad concludes upon that proof, and those ahadith from Prophet about the love of Ali, not to curse upon him.

Can
you 'actually' handle the truth?
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
And there was another proof, from one
of the strongest pupil in the history of ahadith, narrating, why he
rejected cursing Ali, and how Mu'awiah, ordered him to...
Ibn
Taymiyyah's mentioning
In the famed book Minhaj Al-Sunnah
Al-Nabawiyyah, this book is incredibly well known in Saudi Arabia, as
this is written by the heads of all the nawasib, Ibn Taymiyyah.
Investigated by Dr. Muhammed Rashad Salim. In this book written by
Ibn Taymiyyah, he addresses publicly and clearly, in Vol. 5, p 42
that Mu'awiah ibn Sufyan, ordered Saa'ad to curse Ali. Pay sincere
attention dear viewers, this is probably, the greatest proof of all!
On page 42 of Vol. 5 in the book Minhaj Al-Sunnah Al-Nabawiyyah, Ibn
Taymiyyah writes:
“As for the narration of Mu'awiah
ordering Saa'ad to curse Ali, Saa'ad refsed to do so. Mu'awiah then
asked Saa'ad, from what prevents him to curse Ali ibn Abi Talib?
Sa'aad replied: It's because of 3 things which Prophet Muhammed
(saws) told us about Ali. That though those 3 things, I will not
curse Ali! And
even if I had 1 of these 3 things appointed upon me, in my command
and possession, it would've been more dearer than having a red
camel...”
Amazing,
the greatest Nasibi, admitts the fact that:
- Saa'ad was ordered to curse Ali by Mu'awiah
- Saa'ad refused and refused upon 3 relations of Ali to Prophet (saws), which he said at various points.
The
event narrated in Minhaj Al-Sunnah by Ibn Taymiyyah, regards to this
talk between Saa'ad and Mu'awiah, he writes in the footnote: Saheeh –
Authentic, narrated by Sahih Muslim, which contains Ali's 3 mentioned
virtuous which Rasool-ul-Allah said.
May
Allah guide us all, and protect us from his enemies, and guide us on
the path of Mustaqeem and Mukhlasin. Though there is one thing here
which really deserves light. If the Prophet said 3 virtuous about
Ali, located in Sahih Muslim, and also in his (Ibn Taymiyyah's) own
book – Minhaj Al-Sunnah, then who is Mu'awiah, to give an order, to
Saa'ad, to curse Ali?
Ibn
Taymiyyah openly owns and admitts the fact that he is a Nasibi, and
has no respect for Ali, as that is the part of their faith. Though
hold on, if we examine the above hadith, of Prophet Muhammed (saws)
saying Ali's hate is Kufr, then that Mu'awiah, is a Kafir! Not
according to me, but according to the logic of the wordings and
ahadith located in Sahih Sunni books and also the authentic hadith of
Prophet Muhammed (saws)! Who is Mu'awiah to deny the true words of
the Prophet?
And
after asking this question, here we go, we begin a new sect, called,
surprisingly:
Nasibism
On
every step of their way in life, they validate Ali as a Kafir, and
follow the Sunnah of Mu'awiah, via cursing Ali! Now this is a new
religion based upon the hate of Ali, was this really how the Prophet
spent his lifestyle? No!
Mu'awiah,
who is known as Amir Al-Mu'mineen, the companion of the Prophet, the
pillar of Islam. Somehow some way, gets away without being exposed!
Even worse is the fact that he is cursing a Sahabi – companion,
Ali! Isn't Ali a communion? Of course he is, the greatest companion
of the Prophet, and after following the ideological logic of Ibn
Taymiyyah, that cursing a companion is Kufr! And the person is a
Kafir who disrespects the Sahabah, we see that Ali is being cursed by
Mu'awiah, then shouldn't he be called a Kafir?
YES!
Point
to note: I should have mentioned this before, but anyway, those
reading this article, should be aware of the fact that when Mu'awiah
asked to curse Saa'ad to curse Ali, the word – name “Ali”
wasn't used, in fact, “Abu Turab” was, this is the genuine title
for Ami Al-Mu'mineen Imam Ali (as) awarded by Prophet Muhammed (saws)
to Imam Ali by the gracious will of Allah. And surprisingly, the
“Father of mud” (as the name – Abu Turab's meaning suggests),
u'awiah, and his prime Shi'ah, still go upon the opinion, that Ali
should be cursed, and hated! Did Prophet Muhammed (saws) follow such
a methodology, where he cursed Ali?
- Another point to note for extra knowledge is that the word “Sab” is used in arabic, to indicate a “Fie”, or a “curse” upon something or someone.
Validity
and authenticity of narrations
Another
book, Sunan Ibn Maajah – written by Ibn Majah Al-Qazwini. This book
is investigated and edited by Sho'aib Arna'oot, Al-Risala Ala'alamia,
Damascus, Syria, Al-Hijaaz, Al-Baroodi street, 1st
Edition, published in 1430 A.H – Vol.1, p 88, Hadith No. 121 of
this book, it states:
[Please
note dear viewers, other publishing units, publishing this book, may
have this particular narration in a different edition, or even maybe
in a different volume or page...]
“Narration
is from Saa'ad bin Abi Waqqas who has reported: Once Mu'awiah came to
Hajj, and he (Saa'ad) visited him. They mentioned Ali and cursed
Ali...”
Now
over here, there is confusion for a while, which ends later on, did
even Sa'aad curse Ali? In previous narrations, we have seen Mu'awiah
only cursing Ali, but really, did Saa'ad too? Surely not, let's read
on what the narration further says from Saa'ad bin Abi Waqqas:
“...After
hearing, this, Saa'ad got angry...”
So
there we go, we have our answer, you can't be cursing someone, and be
angry upon yourself for cursing! It's lunacy, as Mu'awiah cursed Ali
only. Let's finish the narration:
“...Saa'ad
then proclaimed: You say such things about a man, for whom upon I
have heard Prophet Muhammed (saws) say: Whomsoever master I am, Ali
is his too!? Not only that, but I also heard Prophet Muhammed (saws)
hear say: Ali's relation like to me is of Harun to Moosa, the only
difference is that there is no Prophet after me! And I also heard him
say on the day of Khaybar: I shall give the Stand Banner to the one
who Allah and Prophet love him as well as him loving them too! And
call Ali for me as I will give him the Banner!
Footnote
of the ahadith commented by Arna'oot says: This is Saheeh –
Authentic, and the chain of the narrators are also Thiqah
– Trustworthy!
There
we go, another huge reference, from a huge person, narrating a huge
event. Those who say Saa'ad also cursed Mu'awiah, are denying, Saheeh
Muslim, and Saa'ad bin Abi Waqqas's own words, where he confesses, I
will not curse Ali due to 3 things... As
mentioned in all of the narrations mentioned so far.
This
indeed indicates the character of Mu'awiah, how he denied Imam Ali
(as), and Prophet Muhammed (saws), as per the narration of Sho'aib
Arna'oot, one of the greatest Ahadith Scholar, and highly respected
personality in Sunni Sect of Islam.
He
says in the footnotes of the Ahadith, at the end of the page: Saheeh,
as every narrator, even in other books, are Thiqah, reliable!
Another
Sunni book, Saheeh Sunan Ibn Majah, authored by Allama Albani, Vol.
1, p 58, Hadith No. 120 of this book, states the very same rivayah, a
mirror reflection of the verses quoted by Saheeh Muslim, and other
very highly regarded Sunni books! That Mu'awiah and Saa'ad bin Abi
Waqqas were sitting, and Mu'awiah cursed Ali and so on.... The very
same! But the thing to note here everyone is that Allama Albani
mentions this narration, perfectly authentic,in its footnotes, and
ascribes them per other narrations from other Sunni books too!
But
another gem to notice here is that, Allama Albani comments upon the
sentence of the narration: “He cursed him, means Mu'awiah cursed
Imam Ali and insulted him with disgusting language”
From
this sentence we can signify the fact that it was Mu'awiah, whom
cursed Imam Ali (as), and not Saa'ad, and upon this rivayah, from
Allama Albani, we see Mu'wiah in the act of Kufr.
And
this narration in Allama Albani's Sunan Ibn Majah, is mirrored in
another book called Sharh Sunan Ibn Majah, written by Imam Al-Sindi.
Imam Al-Sindi's full name: Imam Abil Hassan Al-Hanafi, who lived
around 1138 A.H, investigated by Sheikh Khaleel Ma'moon Sheeha,
Al-Ma'rifa institution, Beirut, Lebanon, 3rd
Edition. This particular edition of the book was published in 1420
A.H.
Imam
Al-Sindi in his book on page 86 writes:
“His
saying: 'he cursed him' means Mu'awiah cursing Ali, and also abusing
him and insulting.”
Do
note our viewers and readers, that he is a Hanafi, and not Shi'ah
Rafidhi! And he himslef admitts in his book, clearly, that it was
Mu'awiah, the one who cursed Imam Ali (as), and not Saa'ad. Please
note everyone, the same incident is is mentioned fully, though just
for time, I've saved it from mentioning that. It's the very same
incident, the discussion between Saa'ad and Mu'awiah, not even a
comma difference between the books I've presented!
Pay
sincere attention to this everyone, this is a rivayah from Mussanaf
Ibn Abi Shayba, written by Imam Abi Shayba, who lived from 159 A.H to
235 A.H, Investigated and edited by Muhamed Awaama, Uloom Al-Quran
Institution. It states in Vol. 17, p 101, Hadith No. 32471;
“Saa'ad
and Mua'wiah were sitting, they mentioned Ali......... And Mu'awiah
cursed Ali!”
Amazing,
Imam Abi Shayba, one of the most reliable personalities in Sunni sect
of Islam, is approving the fact that it was Mu'awiah, whom cursed
Imam Ali only, and not Saa'ad! The narration is same, and Saa'ad got
up and said I will not curse Ali due to 3 things, and those 3 things
have been mentioned... The very same narration.
And
something even more fantastically amazing here is that, the footnote
recorded Imam Abi Shayba says: The chain of narrators and not just
Saheeh – Authentic, but Powerful! They are powerful, and this
indicates them being truthful!
There
everyone, were probably the most authenticated references I have
presented to you, from different Sunni books! Some even being Salafi,
and admired by al of the Muslims! I just have s imple question to
ask:
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Can
you 'actually' handle the truth?
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
Mu'wiah
was a Nasibi!
Nasb
as mentioned in Siyar A'laam Al-Nubalaa, investigated by Sho'aib
Arna'oot, Vol. 4, mentions:
“Nawasib
are those Hypocrites
which embrace the hate of Ali as a part of their religion”
Pay
sincere attention here readers, look at this book of a huge status in
Sunni sect and especially Shaf'i sect is saying: Nawasib are those
whom embrace the hate for Ali as a part of their religion! What
surprises me even more is that he is using the word: Hypocrites!
Mu'awiah
hated Ali from head to toe, he was the head example of all the
Nawasibs, and began this new religion! Amazing, such Nawasib say they
love Allah, follow the tawheed, via hating Ali! And embracing that
status as a part of their religion too!
Mu'awiah
and the Banu Ummayah are Nawasibs
Al
Bidayah Wal-Nihayah, By Al-Hafiz Imaadul-Deen Ibn Katheer Al-Qurashi
Al-Damishqi (who lived died 774 A.H). Pay sincere attention yet again
readers, he is one of the clan leaders of Banu Umayah after Mu'awiah
himself! In Vol. 17, p 373, Ibn Al-Katheer states:
“Sheikh
Imaad Ul-Deen Ibn Katheer said: Thereafter I too composed verses of
poetry”
He
mentioned a few verses which were written by other Fudhala'a. And
after that he says the above statement. What are these verses of his
Poetry then? He states:
“That's
how the Ummayad Caliphs followed. Their period of time was to that of
the Rafidhi's. But their era was incomplete, and couldn't finish the
100 years. And all
of them were Nawasibs!
“And
all of them were Nawasibs!” This
is what the head clan of Banu Ummayah is saying!
These
were the words of dear viewers Ibn Al-Katheer, and he is saying, that
all the Banu Ummayah Caliphs were Nawasibs, isn't Mu'awiah one of the
Caliphs within them? Of course he is! And therefore, accordingly to
another reference, stated before, we read that Nawasibs are
Hypocrites, and Mu'awiah, must be, should be, and is and will be, and
was a Hypocrite!
But
then he writes: “Well except Imam Omar Ibn Abil Aziz”
But
someone might stand up and object Mu'awiah wasn't a Nawasib, if
anyone does say that, he is probably the most stupid person, as we
have given so many books to prove his religion. Well notice what he
says next:
“Mu'awiah,
followed by his son Yazid!”
Amazing,
and look at what the author says: “This includes Mu'awiah”
Imam
Dhahabi, and Ibn Al-Katheer, approve of the fact that Mu'awiah, was a
Nasibi! And the book further goes on to state: Marwaan Ibn Al-Hakam
and others, whom came into Caliphate, and were all Nawasibs!
Now
let's define a Nasibi, alone shall we, who are these people? We have
had a book insight which states clearly, whom they are, but really,
what do other books, of great personalities in Sunni Islam say about
the beliefs of Nasibis? Let's read on...

In
Taj al Uroos, we read:

Nawasib:
“Are those who hate the commander of believers and the leader
of Muslims Abu al-Hassan Ali bin Abi Talib [ra]“.
Imam
Jalaluddin Suyuti states in Tadrib al-Rawi:
بالنصب
وهو بغض علي رضي الله عنه وتقديم غيره
“Nasb
is hating Ali [ra] preferring the others”
We
read the following in the margin of Imam Dhahabi’s famed book Siyar
Alam al-Nubala (Vol 4 page 37) by Shaykh Shu’aib al-Arnaout:
من
الناصبية وهم المنافقون المتدينون ببغضة
علي رضي الله عنه ، سموا بذلك لأنهم نصبوا

“From
Nasibiyah, there comes Nasibi and they are hypocrites, they have made
the hate of Ali as their religion. This name was given to them
because they have made the hate of Ali as their aim of life (Nasbu)
and had enmity for him”
Notice
something, the same book is mentioned again, he approves on a
different page, the hate for Ali, is the sign of Nasibism! What more
proofs would you want?
Further
more...
In
volume 18 page 201 we read:
والنصب

“Nasb

One
of the famous Wahabi scholars from Saudi Arabia namely Shaykh Saleh

Al-Aqida al-Tahawiyah’:

(pbuh), therefore they have been called Nawasib for hating Ahlulbayt
of the prophet (pbuh)”.
Hadiya
al Sahil elaborates yet further:
“Nasibi
ideology is a type of flawed character that is very bad, in its worst
form is has a hatred for the Imam of Guidance Ali, and takes this as
part of its Deen / Iman”.
Al
Muhaddith Shah Abdul Aziz makes two interesting comments in his
Hidayatul Majeediyah, page 813:
“One
who fights Ali [r] with enmity is a kaffir according to the ijma of
Ahl’ul Sunnah.”
Furthermore...
“Whoever
deems Ali [r] to be a kaffir or opposes his khilafath is a kaffir,
this trait was evident amongst the Khawaarij at Naharwaan”.
Haddeeya Mujedeeya by Al Muhaddith Shah Abdul Aziz Dehlavi page 813
There
were few references, which state clearly, who is a Nasibi, what are
his characteristics, and what is their main role in the religion. To
hate Ali of course! There are to be honest, 20-50 more books to be
referred, in regards to as what a Nasibi is, and how he follows his
rules, but as me and you may know, time is the variable which stops
us from reading, and also the length of the article too. Now
continuing upon the status of Mu'awiah's so called Islam.
Fath
Al-Bari Sharh Saheeh Bukhari, written by Hajar Al-Asqalani, in Vol.
13, p 669 of the book, he states: “It was mentioned in Sharh
Alwajeez by Alrafi when he mentioned the Khawariji, he said: They
are a group of innovators, whom oppose Ali”
Khawarijis
are whom? “A
group of innovators”, whom oppose Ali!
We have our answer, but is that it, in means to gain knowledge of
just innovators called by the Umayad Leader? No, in fact, let us read
what he further said about the Khawarijis besides labelled
innovators!
“Then
he (Ibn Hajar), further states: 'His (Alrafi's words) about the
description of Khawarijis is
not limited to them just being called innovators,
but
it also includes the Nawasib, whom were the followers of Mu'awih in
Siffeen!”
Amazing,
both, Khawaijis and Nasibis oppose Ali, and Ibn Hajar, the highly
respected personality, says people, whom were in the army, fought for
Mu'awiah, at the battle of Siffeen, against Ali, were Nawasib! And as
we defined a Nawasib earlier, the one who has hate for Ali, and the
love for Mu'awiah! I ask once again:
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Can
you 'actually' handle the truth?
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
Khawarij,
aren't just the ones to oppose Ali, but are also innovators, whom add
something to Islam and religion's aspects, which isn't allowed! Truly
and utterly unbelievable, isn't it? And within them contains the arch
mark of Nawasib as well! Do we still need to go over the ahaidth, as
to whom is Mu'awiah, and what his religion Nasbism is?
But
unfortunetly, the question still exists after so much research and
study, does hatred for Imam Ali (as) really make someone a Hypocrite
or an infidel? Let us find that out in detail too, with the greatest
of sources to begin with.
Saheeh
Muslim, written by Imam Muslim, p 60, Hadith No. 78. The Hadith is
within the Chapter 33 “Book of Faith” states:
“From
Ali Ibn Thabit, from Zirr, who said: Ali said: By
the one who splits open the seed and created something living, the
Apostle
of Allah gave me a promise that none but a believer would love me,
and none but a hypocrite would hate me.
There
was Saheeh Muslim, figurative upon the fact that only a hypocrite
would hate Imam Ali (as). And that was according to the holy words of
Prophet Muhammed (saws). Didn't Mu'awiah hate Imam Ali? I hope the
answer isn't anonymous...
Musnad
of Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal, investigated by Sheikh Sho'aib Arna'oot,
states in Vol. 2, p 71:
“Ali
said: By Allah!... Prophet Muhammed (saws) gave me a promise, that
none but a hypocrite would hate me, and none but a believer would
love me!”
Arna'oot
commentating on this piece of text: The Chain of narration is
according to the conditions set by the 2
Sheikhs.
2
immaculately well known books in the sect of Sunni Islam, openly
agree upon the ahadith of Prophet Muhammed (saws), that loving Ali,
is the sign of a Mo'min, and only a Mo'min would love Ali, and hating
Ali, is the sign of Hypocrisy, and only Hypocrites hate Ali!
Mu'awiah, for sure, by now me and you know, didn't love Ali, but
hated him, so he is a Kafir and a Munafiq!
Stay
put, Imam Ali (as) is taking an oath here, he isn't swearing by
himself of anything else, but Allah! And for someone like him to
swear, there is no credibility of the fact that this hadith is
fake...
But
as we go into further study and research, we read, that the person
hating Ali isn't only a Munfaiq, but the one who hates Allah too!
Amazing, and the one who hates Allah is without a doubt a person to
be burnt in hell! Let's further read:
Tareekh
Al-Khulafa, written by Imam Jalaluddin Sayuti (who died in the year
911 A.H). Investigated by Ibrahim Saleh. Saadir institution, Beirut.
In page 206 of this book, we read: (Pay
sincere attention everyone)
“And
it is written by Tabarani with an authentic
chain
of narrators from Umme Salma from the Messenger of Allah (saws) whom
said: Whosoever
loves Ali, loves me, and whoever loves me, loves Allah! But whosoever
hates Ali, he hates me, and whosoever hates me, hates Allah!
Whoever
hates Ali, hates Allah, and whoever loves Ali, loves Allah. Through
the research we have come along, we notify, that Mu'awiah, really
hated Ali, that certainly means, that he hated Allah too! Isn't life
simple to understand without Mullas online? Yes it is, and to be
honest, life without idiots is much better too, I'm
sure you're not the one to deny the fact that Ali was hated by
Mu'awiah, and Mu'awiah, through the call of Prophet Muhammed (saws)
also hated Allah!

Can
you 'actually' handle the truth?
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
I
hope you can handle the truth, as I know, it's not easy to convert to
a faith, where there is a majority, and not a minority, behind your
back. But really, it's not what the amount matters, it's what the
Eiman of the amount matters.
Albani
in Vol. 3, p 287, states in Hadeeth No. 1299 of the well known book:
Silsala Al-Saheeh;
Author
says the ahadith of Prophet Muhammed (saws): “Whoever loves Ali,
loves me, and whoever loves me, loves Allah. Whomsoever hates Ali,
hates me, and whomsoever hates me, hates Allah!”
The
author further writes on the page:
“Narrated
by Al-Mukhlis in Al-Fawaa'id Al-Muntaqaat with an authentic chain of
narrators from Umme Salma: who said: I bear witness, that I heard
Prophet Muhammed (saws) say: Whoever
hates Ali, hates me, and whoever hates me, hates Allah! And whoever
loves Ali, loves me, and whoever loves me, loves Allah!
Mr
Albani mentions other sources, and how they regard it, as mentioned
Al-Mukhli, regards this as highly authentic. And so does Saheeh
Muslim, and Albani himself on the same page of his book!
- Lets take a brake here, and shortly discuss the article.
- I'm Raees Mustafa
- I've written this article to not entertain, but help people to come to the path of “Thaqalayn” the 2 mighty things, Quran and The AhlulBayt.
- AhlulBayt (as)'s first Imam is Ali (as)
- Imam Ali (as) is somehow hated by Mu'awiah.
- And this article proves him actually hating Imam Ali (as).
- And what is his religion, his identity and faith according to the historians, from Sunni and Salafi sects!
So
far so good? Mu'awiah, without a shadow of doubt hated Imam Ali (as),
and he deserves the ultimate punishment for this, and for the one
whom is hated by Allah, via the authentic wordings of Prophet
Muhammed (saws), why do you regard him as a great personality of
Islam? Indeed,
it's a question to be asked, and a question to be answered!
What else? Before going into the last prosthetic reference, let's ask
a question to ourselves as “one”. Can anyone, who hates Imam Ali,
and Prophet Muhammed (saws), and Allah, be a Muslim? Well though a
question may be stupid, some stupid doesn't agree, and we have to
write this on our tongue's to convince them to the reality. Let's
see what knowledge has it in for us...
Book:
Masa'il Ahmed Ibn Hanbal
– Narrations of ibn Ibraheem Ibn Hani Al-Nisabouri Narration
1866 of this book he says: “I heard Aba Abdullah (Ahmed Ibn
Hanbal), and he was told by Dalaway that I heard Ibn Al-Ja'ad.”
Actually
before we go into this, let's just be known, whom Dalaway, and Ali
Ibn Ja'ad are. Pay
great attentions, dear viewers, this is another gem of a reference.
Dalaway,
for him, let's turn to a HUGE
sunni
book, called Siyar A'laam Al-Nubalaa (as mentioned before) Vol. 12, p
120. We see, that Dalaway's name is Ziyad
Ibn Ayyub.
The
book further states: “Al-Imam, the great Hafidh, also known as
Al-Dalaway”.
The
author further writes: “Al-Bukhari narrated from him, Abu Dawood
narrated fro him, and Tirmidhi and Nasa'i also narrated from him.”
We
moreover read: “Abu Hatim said he is truthful, and Ibraheem Ibn
Arooma said: None
on this earth is more reliable and truthful than Ziyad Ibn Ayyub!”
This
was for you my dear readers, the status of whom? Dalaway, he is known
as Ziyad Ibn Ayyub, and was a great personality, for whom even some
said: The most truthful, and the most reliable on the planet! Well
that is to some extent too, but it is talking in the sense of
non-Ma'sumeen and the narrators of Ahadith of course... So we can
fully rely with out eyes closed that Dalaway, will not steal gold,
though in this case, not damage the ahadith, and fabricate it...
As
for Al-Ibn Al-Ja'ad, Vol. 10, p 459, of the same book, Siyar
Al-A'laam, we read the book state:
“He
– Ali Ibn Al-Ja'ad Al-Imam, Hafidh, an authoritative proof.”
The
book goes unto the next page (500) to state: “Al-Bukhari
narrated from him, and Abu Dawood, and Yahya Ibn Mu'een, and Khalaf
Ibn Saalim, and Ahmed Ibn Hanmbal and many more...”
There
you go, respected readers, I have presented in front of you the Sanad
of the ahadith, which I will show you, and have proven it authentic
with great references too... Now
let's see what the narration says:
“I
heard Aba Abdullah (Ahmed Ibn Hanbal), and he was told by Dalaway
that I heard Ibn Al-Ja'ad. He (Ahmed Ibn Hanbal) said: Mu'awiah
died on a religion other than Islam”
For
whom the historians are saying, that he (Ziyad bn Ayyub) is the most
reliably person in the world, for whom reliable and Saheeh Books say
as the Sheikh of Hadith (Ali Ibn Al-Ja'ad), they narrate, from the
Imam of Ahlul-Sunnah, that Mu'awiah died upon a religion, other than
Allah...

I
myself, personally was in shock of moment, as reading a statement
from an Imam of Sunni sect, is terrifying! What a proof, if this
doesn't guide you, I ask what will? Well, is that it? Of course not,
let's close the talk, with another Death
defying proof from
authentic books of Sunni sect, which quote ahadith from them, which
I promise, will leave you amazed!
Nahjul
Balagha's authenticity is unbelievably clear and founded, as 11 Sunni
commentators done its recognition, and have announced it a permanent
truth! They are:
- Imam Ahmed bin Muhammed Al-Way'ri (who died about 470 A.H)
- Abul Hassan Ali bn Abil Qasim Al-Bayhaqi (65 A.H). His commentry is quoted by Mojam Al-Odaaba of Yaqoot Hamwi Vol. 13, p 225, printed in Egypt.
- Imam Kakfrodeen Razi (606 A.H). His commentries of Nahjul-Balagha are quoted by:
I)
Akhbarol Hokama of Ibn Quftee – p 192, printed in Egypt.
II)
Oyoonul-Abiyaa of Ibn Abi Shabee'a – p 25, printed in Egypt.
- Abdul Hameed Hibatollah Muhammed bn- Muhammed bn-abil Hadeed-Motazili (known as bn Abil Hadeed – 655 A.H). His commentary is a world famous classic covering 17 volumes, printed 6 times in Cairo, Beirut, Tehran and Isfahaan.

- Allama Sheikh Muhammed Abdoo (1323 A.H). His commentary has been printed very often and forms a part of the univeristy course in Cairo and Beirut.
- Ostaad (Professor) Muhammed Hassan An-Nayyer Al-Morsaafi of Egypt. His commentary is printed in Darol-Kitab Press Cairo (Egypt).
- Ostaad (Professor) Muhammed Moheeddeen Abdul-Hameed, Professor of Lexicography of Al-Azhar University. His book was printed at Isteqaama Misr Press – Cairo.
- Ostaad (Professor) Sheikh Abdillah Al-Beerooni of Cairo (Egypt).
There
my respected readers, 11, huge Sunni commentators of this book Nahjul
Balagha, and from them, and their commentaries, we read their
authenticity of firm belief upon every full stop and dot of this
book.
We
read Imam Ali (as) giving a
Khutba
(sermon), Sermon 57in Nahjul-Balagha:
SERMON 57
Amir al-mu'minin said to his companions about Mu'awiyah
وَالْبَرَاءَةِ مِنِّي;
فَأَمَّا
السَّبُّ فَسُبُّونِي، فَإِنَّهُ لِي
زَكَاةٌ،وَلَكُمْ نَجَاةٌ;
Soon
after me there would be put on you a man with a broad mouth and a big
belly. He would swallow whatever he gets and would crave for what he
does not get. You
should kill him
but
(I know) you would not kill him.
He would command you to abuse me and to renounce me. As for abusing
you do abuse me because that would mean purification for me and
salvation for you. As regards renunciation you should not renounce me
because I have been born on the natural religion (Islam) and was
foremost in accepting it as well as in Hijrah ( migrating from Mecca
to Medina). (1)
(1).
When Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr had been killed Mu'awiyah sent 'Abdullah
ibn 'Amir al-Hadrami to Basrah to exhort the people of Basrah for
avenging 'Uthman's blood because the natural inclination of most of
the inhabitants of Basrah and particularly of Banu Tamim was towards
'Uthman. Consequently he stayed with Banu Tamim. This was the time
when 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbis the governor of Basrah had gone to
Kufahfor condolence about Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr leaving Ziyad ibn
'Ubayd (Abih) as his substitute.
When
the atmosphere in Basrah began to deteriorate ziyad informed Amir
al-mu'minin of all the facts. Amir al-mu'minin tried to get Banu
Tamim of Kufah ready but they kept complete silence and gave no
reply. When Amir al-mu'minin saw this weakness and shamelessness on
their part he gave this speech namely that "During the days of
the Prophet we did not see whether those killed at our hands were
our kith and kin but whoever collided with Right we were prepared to
collide with him. If we too had acted carelessly or been guilty of
inaction like you then neither religion could have taken root nor
could Islam prosper." The result of this shaking was that A'yan
ibn Dabi'ah al-Mujashi'i prepared himself but on reaching Basrah he
was killed by the swords of the enemy. Thereafter Amir al-mu'minin
sent off Jariyah ibn Qudamah as-Sa'di with fifty men of Bani Tamim.
First he tried his best to canvass his own tribe but instead of
following the right path they stooped down to abusing and fighting.
Then Jariyah called Ziyad and the tribe of Azd for his help. Soon on
their arrival ('Abdullah) Ibn al-Hadrami also came out with his men.
Swords were used from both sides for some time but eventually lbn
al-Hadrami fled away with seventy persons and took refuge in the
house of Sabil as-Sa'di. When Jariyah saw no other way he got this
house set on fire. When fire rose into flames they came out in
search of safety but could not succeed in running away. Some of them
were crushed to death under the wall while others were killed.
(2).
About the person to whom Amir al-mu'minin has alluded in this sermon
some people hold that he is Ziyad ibn Abih; some hold that he is
al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf ath-Thaqafi and some hold that he is Mughirah
ibn Shu'bah. But most of the commentators have held him to be
Mu'awiyah and this is correct because the qualities that Amir
al-mu'minin has described prove true fully on him alone .Thus Ibn
Abi'l-Hadid has written about the gluttonous quality of Mu'awiyah
that once the prophet sent for him and he was informed that
Mu'awiyah was busy eating. Then a second and third time a man was
sent to call him but he brought the same news. Thereupon the Prophet
said "May Allah never satisfy his belly." The effect of
this curse was that when he felt tired of eating he would say "Take
away for by Allah I am not satiated but I am tired and disgusted."
Similarly his abusing Amir al-mu'minin and ordering his officers for
it are such accepted facts of history about which there is no scope
of denying. In this connection such words were used on the pulpit
that even Allah and the Prophet were hit by them. Thus Umm
al-mu'minin Umm Salamah wrote to Mu'awiyah "Certainly you
people abuse Allah and the Prophet and this is like this that you
hurl abuses on 'Ali and those who love him while I do stand witness
that
Allah and the Prophet did love him." (al-'Iqd al-Farid Vol. 3
p. 131)
Thanks
to 'Umar ibn 'Abdil-'Aziz who put a stop to it and introduced the
following verse in place of abuse in the sermons:
Verily
Allah enjoineth justice and benevolence (to others) and giving unto
the kindred and forbidden lewdness and evil and rebellion; He
exhorteth you that ye may take heed (Qur'an 16:90)
In
this sermon Amir al-mu'minin has ordered his killing on the basis of
the Prophet's order that "When you (O' Muslims) see Mu'awiyah
on my pulpit kill him." (Kitab Siffin pp. 243 248; Sharh of Ibn
Abi'l-Hadid Vol. 1 p.348; Ta'rikh Baghdad Vol. 12 p. 181; Mizan
al-I'tidal Vol. 2 p. 128; Tahdhib at-tahdhib Vol. 2 p. 428; Vol. 5
p. 110; Vol. 7 p. 324)
Mu'awiah is being ordered to
kill by Prophet Muhammed (saws)! Why, just because of the fact that
if Mu'awiah is seen on the Pulpit of Prophet Muhammed (saws), you
should kill him! Amazing! Stunning! Petrifying! Unbelievable! How can
that be, I thought he was a companion of a Prophet Muhammed (saws)!
The one who doesn't even commit any crime, whilst sitting on the
Pulpit of Prophet (saws), is ordered to be killed! And that in the
Mosque as well! That means Mu'awiah, is the chief of infidels! What
more do you want?

What
else? Is there still something in the magic wand left to show some
more spectacular magic? Yes, apparently, and this one is another huge
boost too, to the Eiman...
We
read in Nahjul-Balagha once againt, and this time, not in the
Sermons, but in the Hadith section of Imam Ali (as) in Nahjul
Balagha. Let's read:
262.
262-
It is said that al-Harith ibn Hawt came to Amir al-mu'minin, and
said: Do
you believe I can ever imagine that the people of Jamal were in the
wrong? Amir
al-mu'minin, peace be upon him, said: O'
al-Harith! You have seen below yourself but not above yourself, and
so you have been confused. Certainly, you have not known right, so
that you can recognize the righteous. And you have not known wrong,
so that you can recognize the people of wrong! Then
al-Harith said: In
that case, I shall withdraw along with Sa'd ibn Malik and
'Abdullah: ibn 'Umar; whereupon
Amir al-mu'minin, peace be upon him, said: Verily,
Sa'd and 'Umar have neither sided with Right nor forsaken Wrong. (1)
____________________________________________________________________
(1).
Sa'd ibn Malik (i.e. Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, the father of 'Umar ibn
Sa'd who killed Imam Husayn) and 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar were among those
who were keeping themselves away from Amir al-mu'minin's help and
support. As for Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, after the killing of 'Uthman he
retired to some wilderness and passed his life there, but did not
agree to swear allegiance to Amir al-mu'minin (as Caliph). But after
the death of Amir al-mu'minin he used to express his repentance,
saying, "I held an opinion but it was a wrong opinion."
(al-Mustadrak, al-Hakim, vol.3, p. 116). And when Mu`awiyah blamed
him for not supporting him in his fight with Amir al-mu'minin, Sa'd
said:
I
only repent for not having fought against the rebellious group (i.e.
Mu'awiyah and his people). (Ahkam al-Qur'an, al-Jassas al-Hanafi,
vol.2, pp.224,225; al-Furu', Ibn Muflih al-Hanbali, vol.3, p.542)
As
for `Abdullah ibn 'Umar, although he had sworn allegiance, he refused
to help Amir al-mu'minin in the battles putting forth the excuse: "I
have sought seclusion to devote myself to worship and do not
therefore want to involve myself in war and fighting."
A
Persian couplet says:
Intelligence
regards such excuses worse than the offence itself.
Abdullah
ibn 'Umar also frequently used to express his repentance, even up to
the last moments of his life, saying:
I
do not find anything in myself to be distressed about in this world,
except my not having fought alongside Ali ibn Abi Talib against the
rebellious group as Allah, to Whom belongs Might and Majesty, had
commanded me. (al-Mustadrak, vol.3, pp.115 - 116; as-Sunan al-kubra,
al-Bayhaqi, vol.8, p.172; at-Tabaqat, Ibn Sa'd, vol.4, part l,
pp.136, 137; aljst1.'ab, vol.3, p.953; Usd al-ghabah, vol.3, p.229;
vol.4, p.33; Majma' az-zawa'id, vol.3, p.182; vol.7, p.242; al-Furu',
vol.3, p.543; Ruh al-ma'ani; al-Alusi, vol.26, p.151).
Mu'awiah,
is found disregarded by Saa'ad, and is objected as a cruel, useless
and a hypocritical person! What else do you want, there are questions
to be asked, and questions to be answered!
